Short Biography | ||
Zivan Zivkovic was born on 02.08.1949 in village
Leskovac, near city of Zaječar, Serbia. He graduated at the Technical
Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1973. He obtained his
M.Sc and PhD degree from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology,
University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1976 and 1979, respectively. He
progressed through all academic ranks at the University of Belgrade, and
was elected as a full professor in 1984. He was Dean of the Technical
Faculty in Bor during the period 1985 – 1995. He is a member of several international scientific associations: ICTAC, ICSOBA, etc., while his biography was published in many WHO IS WHO lexicons in Serbia and in the world. He has been mentor of a total of 17 doctoral dissertations at the University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Mining and Metallurgy, Section B:Metallurgy (on the Thomson Reuters list) and Serbian Journal of Management (SCImago list). He is a member of Editorial board of many scientific journals: Metalurgija, Tehnika, etc. He is a reviewer in numerous scientific journals in the field of Thermal Analysis and Management. He published 6 auxiliary university textbooks, 16 university textbooks and 7 monographs. He also published: 167 scientific papers in journals with the Impact Factor; 228 papers in journals of national significance; 153 papers at International Scientific Conferences; was invited to give 8 plenary lectures; published 202 papers at scientific conferences of national importance. He led more than 100 projects of national and international significance. Up to the end of 2017, his papers were cited 71 times (period 1974-1996) in journals on Science Citation Index and 722 times (period 1996 - 2017) according to Web of Science; h - index = 16.
